Established in 2022, Hascon Civil provides the construction industry with highly capable and experienced project teams to deliver water infrastructure and civil projects solutions for our clients.
Our team has over 40 years’ experience delivering a diverse range of projects to the highest standard, on time and under budget. Our combined expertise spans the entire project lifecycle, ranging from initial design phase through to practical completion.

Paddy Hayes
Managing Director
Paddy is an accomplished professional with a proven track record in leadership and strategic management. His background includes senior management positions delivering projects to the Resources and Water sectors. As the Managing Director, Paddy brings a wealth of experience to the table, driving operational excellence and fostering growth across diverse industries. Paddy holds a Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering. Paddy is committed to our core values of safety, innovation, teamwork, and ethics, he steadfastly upholds the well-being of our team and stakeholders while fostering a collaborative environment built on integrity and responsibility.
Ben Shaw
Director
Ben is a Construction and Project Management professional with over 20 years’ of leadership and management experience in the civil and mechanical construction Industry. Throughout his career he has held positions such as Project Manager, Construction Manager and Operations Manager. He has successfully managed and delivered a range of projects for various clientele including residential, mining, local and state government. His involvement has spanned from FEED studies through to commissioning and close out. Ben holds a Diploma of Project Management, a Diploma of Building and Construction and is also a qualified Boilermaker Welder.
Stephen Zurhaar
Non-Executive Director
Stephen is an experienced Chief Executive Officer and Non- Executive Director /Chairman with a proven track record of building successful companies, both Publicly and Privately. He has been actively involved in public company takeovers and schemes, private M&A transactions and corporate strategy across a diverse range of sectors. Stephen has extensive proven experience of not only successfully building and divesting companies, but also assisting SME’s to scale-up, diversify and ultimately divest their investment. Mr Zurhaar is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Certified Practicing Accountant.
